Due to extreme heat in the Lawton Fort Sill area, the MacArthur High School and Eisenhower High School "Week Zero" football games will start an hour later at 8 p.m.
The move was made to give both the turf at Cameron Stadium and the air around more time to cool down before playing a full football game.
MHS will be playing John Marshall on Thursday, Aug. 24 and EHS will host Ardmore at Cameron Stadium on Friday, Aug. 25.
Both games will be streamed live on the Oklahoma Sports Network for those fans who cannot make it to the stadium.
Tickets can be purchased at the stadium, in the GoFan app or online at GoFan.co.
The first city rivalry football game will be on Friday, Sep. 1 when MacArthur and Eisenhower meet up at Cameron Stadium.
