Due to forecasted severe weather, two of the three Lawton Public Schools football games for this week have been moved up a date and will be played on Thursday, October 23rd.
The Lawton High School (LHS) and MacArthur High School (MHS) games were scheduled to be played on Friday night, but due to lightning in the forecast on Friday, they are being pushed up, as announced by district and school officials.
Lawton High is set to host defending 5A State Champion Carl Albert on Thursday night at Cameron Stadium with kickoff set for 7 p.m.
The MHS Highlanders will be making the trip to Newcastle for a big district matchup on Thursday with kickoff scheduled for 7:15 p.m. at the Newcastle High School football stadium.
As of right now, the Eisenhower High School football game against Northwest Classen has not been changed and remains scheduled for Friday, October 24th at 7 p.m.
